July 27–28, 2018 — Total Lunar Eclipse
The phenomena that occurs when the Sun, Earth and Moon are in perfect alignment.
As I watch, I capture.
Berlin (2018) x 18 Photographs
The moon begins to rise for the night. Each phase in rising is captured.
As the moon moves, the light begins to subtly grow.

I submerge,
a silence engulfs me and air fills my lungs.
Transient, weightless I am suspended,
held in a timelessness, I play.
The instinctual interconnection lacing, looping, absorbing,
sound fading to a beating mediative murmur,
The body at rest, surrendering to that nudging flow,
A division of blackness and light shades the eyes.
Coldness and warmth dance around the senses,
yet, I am motionless,
I am still.
From a young age I have always felt this connection with water. Whether it connects back to my place of birth I am not entirely certain. When submerge I feel as though I have become intertwined with the whole. Through my own subjective experience I aim to immerse the audience into my ephemeral state of stillness.

Video Installation, projected onto 5 Silk Screens
By constructing a algorithmic methodology that is structured around five minute intervals, I capture the ever so subtle shifts happening in time and space.
Whether it is the natural environment or the bustling city streets, our world is in a constant state of flux.
This ongoing process is applied in order to reveal these shifts taking place every five minutes for the duration of one hour, simultaneous to the capturing is the subjective experience where I become completely present and merge with the environment itself.
Austria / Berlin (2017) x 143 Photographs
A repetitive process that is approached with the intention to free my minds eye, simultaneously to gain a intuitive and mediative movement through the action of my hands.
These organically drawn shapes are a reflection of the free flowing current of thought and focus.

Documentation of each time I have intuitively looked at the clock.
This data revels the synchronicity of seeing 1s during a particular period of life.
After becoming consciously aware of this synchronicity, of finding and seeing 1s. I question, did my mind then subconsciously program itself to continue this pattern of searching and seeing the number 1?
To accompany the random numerical data is five paintings. The five paintings visually reconstruct this numerical pattern of 1s.
Each time a 1 was experienced paint was splattered onto paper.
